Aaron Osmond (43) is the oldest son of Virl and Chris Osmond of the famous Osmond Family of Utah. Aaron was born and raised in Provo where he graduated from Timpview High School. Aaron then served a 2-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rome, Italy.
After his mission, Aaron began his professional career at WordPerfect Corporation (which was later acquired by Novell). During his time at Novell, Aaron completed his bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Phoenix. After 12 years at Novell, Aaron was recruited to work at Microsoft where he managed a $200 million dollar educational product line (Microsoft Press and Microsoft Certification).
In 2006, Aaron relocated back to Utah to assume the role of CEO of Real Estate Investor Education, LLC (a small company delivering specialized training in real estate and stock investing strategies for its students). Aaron served as CEO for nearly 6 years, leading the company to signficant growth and success. In April of 2012, Aaron was recruited back to the IT industry by Certiport to assume the role of Vice President of their North America Business Unit, based in American Fork.
Aaron and his wife Nancy are the parents of 5 children (ages 20 to 7). Nancy is a Pediatric Registered Nurse by profession. Their family has lived in South Jordan since 2006.
On March 31, 2011, Aaron was elected to replace Chris Buttars by appointment as State Senator for District 10 (representing 95,000 people in South Jordan, West Jordan, and Herriman). He competed against 11 other qualified candidates for the seat in a special election held on March 31, 2011, winning the election with nearly 70% of the vote. In November 2012, Aaron was elected to his first full 4-year term in the Utah State Senate.
Aaron values education, entrepreneurship, and family. These are the core focus areas that he wants to reinforce for the benefit of future generations in his community and business service.
